Setting the future of digital and social media marketing research: Perspectives and research propositions

The use of the internet and social media have changed consumer behavior and the ways in which companies conduct their business. Social and digital marketing offers significant opportunities to organizations through lower costs, improved brand awareness and increased sales. However, significant challenges exist from negative electronic word-of-mouth as well as intrusive and irritating online brand presence. This article brings together the collective insight from several leading experts on issues relating to digital and social media marketing. The experts’ perspectives offer a detailed narrative on key aspects of this important topic as well as perspectives on more specific issues including artificial intelligence, augmented reality marketing, digital content management, mobile marketing and advertising, B2B marketing, electronic word of mouth and ethical issues therein. Realism Matters: The Role of Perceived Realism in The Biggest Loser

This study investigated implications of viewing The Biggest Loser, NBC’s popular reality television show. Using online survey data collected from 613 participants, results suggest that exposure to the program is positively associated with perceived realism of the program, which in turn is positively associated with developing internal weight locus of control. Meanwhile, internal weight locus of control is positively associated with audience members’ exercise behavior, meaning the higher level of internal weight locus of control the audience members develop, the more likely they are to engage in physical exercise. This study offers evidence that health-related reality television might be a useful tool to influence audience members’ cognitions on health issues, which could potentially lead to healthy lifestyles.  相似文献

《西游记》的众多评点本中,陈士斌评本和李卓吾评本是其中较有代表性的版本,这两个评点本对于小说虚实理论的阐述,包括三个层次,即"实"———"虚"———"虚以喻实"。具体而言,"实"指生活真实,是评点者关于反映现实生活的理论;"虚"指艺术的想象,是评点者关于在反映现实生活的基础上充分发挥艺术想象的观点;"虚以喻实"是指评点者认为立足于生活真实,通过艺术想象创造出来的艺术真实同样是现实生活的反映。  相似文献

周婉如是晚清黔西北有名的女诗人,她才华横溢、心怀壮志,有着当时闺阁中人所不及的胸怀和气质。但诗人生不逢时,那个时代没有给一个女性提供驰骋壮志的机会,她只能郁郁地在闺阁中终老一生。理想与现实的激烈冲突,造成了周婉如的人生悲剧,体现在她的诗歌中,就表现出身束闺阁、功业难成和知音难寻、青春易逝所产生的悲愤和忧愁,虽然她的诗歌中也有一定的悲剧意识的消解因素,但并没有起到消解的作用,反而使她的悲剧意识得到加强。  相似文献
